Will my insurance cover the cost of Testosterone Replacement Therapy?
Testosterone Replacement Therapy is covered by most insurance plans. Contact our office to confirm your plan covers the treatment.
How long does each injection take and where are the injections administered?
Each injection is given in the gluteal muscle. Your office visits will take less than 15 minutes. Our office offers 7:00 am times to accommodate busy schedules.
How do testosterone pellets work?
Testosterone pellets are a slow release medication compounded locally. Pellets are placed under the skin of the hip in a quick in-office procedure. Once in place the pellets slowly release hormone over 4-5 months. This treatment is very convenient for patients whose schedules do not allow them to do regular injections.
Does topical testosterone replacement work?
Topical testosterone is a safe and effective alternative for patients who do not want injections or pellets. Topical testosterone is available in prescription or compounded form and is applied daily to the shoulders, armpits, or thighs.
